Every musician starts somewhere. Intro to Music is where the journey begins – a fun, low-pressure one-hour group class designed for absolute beginners ages 5-8 who are curious about music but not sure where to start yet.
Over four weeks, students get hands-on time with a variety of instruments, learn the basics of playing in a group, and start building the musical foundation that will serve them for life. No experience necessary. No instruments to buy. Just show up ready to make some noise.
What to expect
Each sessions runs for 4 weeks and covers:
- Introduction to multiple instruments: guitar, ukulele, drums, piano, and voice
- Basic music theory made fun and accessible
- Playing together in a group
- Finding out which instrument lights you up
Who it’s for
Intro to Music is designed for absolute beginners ages 5-8. It’s the perfect next step after Little Seedlings, and a great way to explore music before committing to private lessons.
Where it leads
Most students finish Intro to Music with a better sense of which instrument they want to pursue. From there, they can jump into private lessons or come back for another session. We’ll help you figure out the right next step.
